Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

CruiseBae is operated by Nak-Tek LLC ("CruiseBae," "we," "us"), and this policy covers cruisebae.com and the CruiseBae mobile app (together, the "Service") — a community and dating product for cruisers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can see, change or delete it.

Information we collect

Account. Email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and birthdate (to confirm you're 18 or older — CruiseBae is not for anyone under 18).

Dating profile. Name, age, gender, orientation, relationship status, religion, education, bio, photos, the cruise lines and interests you add, and your approximate location (city/state/country — see "Location" below).

Community profile. Display name, bio, avatar photo, and countries you mark as visited.

Content you create. Community posts and photos, post comments and likes, follows, forum threads and replies, dating messages, likes and matches.

Safety reports. If you block or report someone, or someone reports you, we keep a record of that (who, when, and the reason given) for moderation — this is kept even if an account involved is later deleted.

Location

We only ever collect approximate location — the app requests coarse location permission, not precise/fine location or background location, and uses it to set your city so other cruisers near you can find you. We do not track your location continuously or store a location history.

Photos and storage

Photos you upload (profile photos, dating photos, post photos) are stored with Amazon Web Services (S3). Our database runs on MongoDB Atlas. Both are infrastructure providers — they host data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

How we use your information

To run the Service: showing your profile to other members, matching and messaging, the community feed and forum, and transactional emails (for example, a new like or message). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.

Sharing with other members

Your dating and community profiles, photos, posts, and forum activity are visible to other members as part of normal use of the Service — that is the point of a community and dating app. Private messages are visible only to you and the person you're messaging.

Blocking and reporting

You can block or report another member from their profile, on web or in the app. Blocking removes you from each other's search results, feeds and messaging. Reports go to our moderation team for review.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time — from the app (Me → Delete account) or on the web at cruisebae.com/account/delete. Deleting your account removes your dating and community profiles, photos, posts, comments, likes, matches and messages. It cannot be undone.

Two exceptions: forum posts and replies stay up (so we don't break other people's threads), but are no longer attributed to you — they display as posted by a deleted user. And safety reports filed by or about you are kept as a moderation record, as described above.

Your rights

You can review and edit most of your information directly in the app or on the website (profile, bio, photos, email). For anything you can't change yourself, or questions about your data, contact us (see below).

Children's privacy

CruiseBae is restricted to users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
